COST Action LIFT 1st Round Stakeholder Consultation (until 31st of July 2026). Positive animal welfare is beyond good physical health and without animal suffering – but how can we implement this concept and measure it in practice? Working Group 3 summarised a list of potential animal welfare indicators that may be useful, and we would like to hear your opinions about them!
If your job relates to livestock farming, then you are the perfect candidate for our surveys. The surveys are anonymous and intended for research use only. If you want to help shape the knowledge of translating positive animal welfare into practice, this is your chance to do so.
In the coming weeks, we will launch a series of surveys on stakeholders’ perception and acceptability of using novel indicators to assess Positive Animal Welfare (PAW).
Find the survey that is most suitable for your job and species of interest. The surveys are targeted for farm managers, farmers’ associations, certification bodies, food processing companies, retailers, consumer associations, and, finally, veterinary authorities. The surveys for farm managers are available in multiple European languages, and the surveys for the rest of the stakeholders will only be available in English.
